Triple Crown Baseball Roundup – Wenatchee Season Opener

Our Northwest baseball schedule kicked off its 2025 slate on April 5-6 with 77 teams in six age divisions at the Wenatchee Season Opener. Here’s a look at how the brackets wrapped up:

 

14u Platinum – Elevate NW Jackson (Lake Forest Park, WA)

 

14u Gold – Skagit Dungies (Sedro-Woolley, WA)

 

13u Platinum – Stilly Venom (Marysville, WA)

 

13u Gold – Baden Islanders (Seattle, WA)

 

12u Platinum – HCS Cutthroats (Lewiston, ID)

"This was a fantastic tournament full of great competition in beautiful Wenatchee, WA. We are very grateful for the opportunity to have competed against some very talented teams," said Kindel Draper of the Cutthroats. "The HCS Cutthroats 12U team battled from behind in their three Sunday games topping it off with a walk-off three-run homer in extra innings by JR Black to win the Platinum Championship bracket, 16-14. Dylan Macke also came through big in the bottom of the 6th inning with a game tying three-run home run to extend the game into extras. The Cutthroats pitching was by committee with Black, D. Macke, Tondevold and Peterson all making strong showings. The Cutthroats hit .346 as a team on the weekend with eight homers with Draper, Black and Latta all hitting over .500 in the five games."
