Triple Crown Baseball Roundup – Spring Swing

The Triple Crown Colorado Baseball Series rolled out the Spring Swing event on April 6-7; we welcomed 157 teams in six age groups and managed to get every game played despite snow hovering in the forecast Friday and Saturday.

14uD2 Platinum – Prolific Hooligans (Highlands Ranch, CO)

 

14uD2 Gold – 719 Baseball (Colorado Springs, CO)

 

13uD1 – ABA Hooligans Campos (Albuquerque, NM)

 

13uD2 Platinum – Slammers ABT (Parker, CO)

 

13uD2 Gold – Colorado Springs Mountain Lions Sloan (Colorado Springs, CO)

 

12uD1 – Elite Baseball Taylor (Arvada, CO)

 

Elite Baseball Taylor claimed the No. 4 seed out of pool play and got an immediate test on Sunday morning, slipping past RMBC Jackalopes (Highlands Ranch, CO) by a score of 5-4. After that, the runs came fast and furious with victories of 13-5 and 16-0.  

 

“The boys had a really solid and balanced weekend, with the bats really coming to life in the final two games of bracket play,” said head coach Chris Taylor.
