Matching up a powerful competitive experience with a place that suits every family member is how Triple Crown Sports rolls, and the 2024 baseball campaign gets off to an impressive start with the Arizona Spring Championships, set for six sessions throughout March in all corners of the metro Phoenix area.
The recipe is popular for a reason, as 730 teams from 28 states and Canada will eventually file through the desert setting and kick off their time in uniform at this iconic TCS event. Age groups range from 8u through high school, with schedules built so games take place early or later in the day. Teams then have afternoon windows to go watch MLB Spring Training games with 15 MLB franchises calling Arizona home base for the launch of their own seasons.
Session #1 – Feb. 29-March 3
Session #2 – March 7-10
Session #3 – March 11-13
Session #4 – March 14-17
Session #5 – March 18-20
Session #6 – March 21-24
“Escaping the chill of winter, getting mind and body prepared for the year to come –10,000 kids are about to experience something they will never forget,” said TCS event director Matt Pilcher. “In anticipation of their own approaching baseball season, our teams and their families also get to go watch some of their favorite MLB stars getting ready for their season. Triple Crown Baseball has all the details covered, and every youth baseball team needs to do put this event on their bucket list – do it for the youngsters.”
“We were really just chasing the sun,” said Mark Tyler, head coach of the Elevate NW squad from Woodinville, WA that won the 13u title in 2022. “We were really happy to come down here and play in the sunshine. Awesome group of teams, great tournament, very well put on … It was all about (our kids) today. I didn't coach very much. I told them, ‘Hey, guys, this is your day. Today is your day to go do it.’ And so they did, and I loved it.”
